I miss Hong Kong a lot. I was on the internet buying a Japanese style bag for my sister then ended up browsering around the site on beauty products. The more I looked at the things I more I wish I was in Hong Kong. I’ll rather walk into the store to buy it then buy from the internet. At least I can still get access to some of the products without being there. I remember it use to be difficult to buy Asian products as not many places sold them or they would sell it for a very high price.

Talking about Asian products, I used the Southern French Apricot face mask from My Beauty Diary last night. I love the My Beauty Diary face masks as they come in so many different favours. When I was in Hong Kong, they had the special Alice in Wonderland collections which had a selection of different favours in each box. I manage to get all the favours from the original line as I bought at least one of each of the different boxes they released. My face definitely feels much nicer after a face mask.

I need to take care of my skin much more lately due to the cold weather in the UK. It has been really cold and dry in Europe lately. Over 100 people have freeze to death across Europe in the last two weeks. 90% of those being homeless. I have to say, I’m so glad I have a warm home to return to every evening. I can’t possibly imagine what life is like without a home.

I needed to activate online banking for one of the bank accounts. So the other day, I request for an online activation code via the website. I received the code yesterday and jump onto the website straight away to activate it. I entered the code as I was instructed and it came back with the error “The activate code must be 10 digits”. I typed it in again thinking I mistyped, again came back with the same error. The confusion began. I counted the number of digits on the letter and there was only 9 digits. I re-counted several times. I looked everywhere for the 10th digit but couldn’t find it. Pretty stupid isn’t it? I have to re-request for another activation code. They better not send me the same code.

I’m not sure what else to say about that as it’s pretty silly and annoying. I was getting all ready to sort out my bank accounts and prepare for buying a flat then a stupid computer fault comes along. Clearly, the bank’s system generated the wrong activation code.

Trying to be organise at the moment, as you all know I’m looking to buy a flat with my boyfriend. That’s a big step to take. Owning property will come with great responsibility and organisation. I am ready for it but I’m not quiet ready at the same time. There’s still so much I don’t know about the process. I don’t think you can ever be fully ready for it, you just have to do it and learn from the experience.

This whole buying house process is going to be pretty stressful. I heard it’s on the most stressful thing in life. At least I won’t need to do this again for a few years.

On top of the issues of buying a flat, my iPhone 4 died on me today. I have it on my work desk all the time. I went to turn it on to see if my boyfriend has replied to my text. Pressed the “home” button…nothing happened. Pressed again…nothing happened. I was sure I charged it over night. Plugged it in to charge, left it for a while…again still black. *PANIC* Unsure what to do next so asked around my table and no one knew. Eventually someone said I should do a hard reset where I hold the power and home button down for 10-20secs. Wa-la it turned on. Stupid phone gave me a heart attack today. Can’t have it dying on my now, can’t afford to buy a new one at the moment.

It’s the year of the Dragon this year, which means it’s my lucky year (I’m born in the year of the Dragon). Dragon is by far the coolest zodiac animal. It’s the largest and most powerful looking, however it’s a shame they don’t exist (anymore). I spent Chinese New Year weekend with my family and my boyfriend’s family (one day at each). We ate loads of yummy food.

Despite the weekend been full of yummy food, I also spent it most of it burying my nose in tissue. It’s the time of the year for colds and coughs. I blame my boyfriend for passing it to me! Well at least I don’t have a cough or sore throat.

Crazily busy at the moment. The days are going by so fast I forgot what day it is everyday.

Here why I’m so busy:

Work

People leaving the company and we haven’t found replacement yet. I have to take up their day to day task as well as my own. I spend all day doing small request than doing any actual project work. With more people those request were spread around the team allowing us more time to work on projects.

Personal

My boyfriend and I currently live separately. I live at home with my parents and he’s staying with his sister. The time has come for us to move in together. We’ve been busy looking for a suitable flat. We are looking to buy the flat so it needs to be 100% suitable. Would be much easier if we were renting but I don’t want to rent as it’s expensive and goes to nothing plus I won’t be able to renovate the place however I want.

Flats are generally small but luckily we are going for a two bedroom flat though so we will have a bit more space. We’re going to have a bedroom and an office type room (which may eventually turn into a second wardrobe for me). We were originally going to start off with a one bedroom flat, but I don’t think we can cope especially as I have so much stuff. We need space for our computers as well.

I’m just go busy looking for flats and booking viewings. I can’t wait though. It’s going to be so exciting to have our own place (finally). The next exciting part is decorating the place! I’ve already started a mood bored for the living room. Still deciding on the colours for the other rooms.
