I’m going to be a bit more free time now because there’s going to be some changes at work. Currently I work 9am – 5.30pm which isn’t so bad. However my actual travel + work hours are 7.30am – 6.45pm. In the morning I get to work before 8.30am and I don’t really have a choice because that’s the only train that I can take what will get me to work before 9am. I don’t get home for over an hour because the train doesn’t leave till 5.48pm so I have to sit around and wait in the office for 10-15mins. So I end up sitting around for about 45mins a day, just waiting for the work day to start and end, kinda annoying really.

My work place is going to be implementing flexi time meaning we can start anytime between 8.30am – 9.30am and end 5pm – 6.00pm (we must work at least 8hrs 30mins though). This is perfect for me since I get to work before 8.30 anyways so I can start straight away and go home earlier (5pm)

Another cool change is that we is that every Friday is half day!! So I will be finish at 1pm on Fridays. Yay for 4 1/2 day a week instead of 5 and get paid full time.

You’re probably wondering why the hell they decided to do that, well it’s because many people have left in the last 6 months (over 30% and there’s only 50-55 employees) and most of them are senior roles. That isn’t good for the company at all. It obviously means there’s something wrong. They are doing this as a desperate measure to keep people here. Hopefully meaning that they will actually deal with the problems. All these extra benefit will keep employees happy for a while but eventually the problems will overwhelm them if not dealt with.

I have no problems with my work place (my first job, so I don’t really know any different and I’ve only been here for 9 month). I’m going to be loving these extra hours. I’m so excited about half day Friday, more time to play BOI (geeeky)!

One very common issue is mis-interruption or thinking too far ahead when it isn’t needed. The users want something pretty simple that might only take a few hours to a days to completely. The developers would develop something amazing and clever but it that took months and months to completely. By then the users are not longer interested and in the case of a game they would have quit and forgotten about it.

I like to play free MMORPGs where they have cash shop for players to buy in game enhancements with real cash. Many of these types of MMORPGs generally take a long time to release small bug fixes and a even longer time to release anything new. It’s also common that the new features aren’t really want the players want. I feel that most MMORPG companies don’t listen to players. It seems that all they can think about is how to learn money so they just release more items to the cash shop rather than to the game.

Earning money is really important but without players where will the money come from. It’s so important to earn money but also keep the players happy. If players are happy they will stay loyal to be game and will spend money on it. It just annoys me so much when game companies do that. They don’t bother doing anything about the game till they’ve earn enough money or sometimes don’t even bother at all because they are earning enough.

I do have the habit of playing MMORPGs when they’re first released. That is actually a pretty bad move because a free MMORPG generally don’t become good and stable for at least 6 months.

I’m currently playing Priston Tales 2 and wow it’s bad! So many bugs and issues that needs addressing. They have claimed that they will be releasing a big patch with loads of changes soon. I’m not so sure that changes are a good thing, they should stick with addressing current issues and what players really want. Sometimes the changes can make it worse. Well I’ll find out soon enough, when the patch is released.

Priston Tales 2 is going live tonight. I’m so excited to play. I’m such a MMORPG geek. I love love love MMORPGs and play them all the time.

I have been playing mmos since I was 14 (back in 2003) and I have been playing them pretty often since then. I cut down a lot since last summer when I started looking for a full time job. Since I started this full time job, I haven’t really hard the time to hardcore any mmorpgs. I remember I use to hardcore these so much back at university. I spent at least 6-8 hrs playing some mmo a day and I still had the time to party twice/three times a week and study (just about). I don’t think I could do that again tho because I didn’t sleep much back then. Guess I’ve grown old haha.

Anyways really really looking forward to playing Priston Tales 2 (I played the first Priston Tales back in 2003) so I really really hope this one will be good

Addicted to a Facebook game AGAIN
Last week Ivy introduced me to this FB game called Mall World. About 8 months ago, I was completely addicted to FB games like Restaurant City & FarmVille then got bored of all these restaurant & farm style games. Mall World is yet another tycoon style game. You have this shop where you sell clothes, shoes & bags. I love games where I sell stuff & make money so this is perfect

Name for my jewellery store
I’ve using the name Essencious Designs for my jewellery store. I was also thinking of Essencious Jewels. Which do you guys think is better? Also any other suggestions? I did think about Essencious Crystals but I may not always use crystals. I want to start beading and using pearls as well once I’ve had some practise at that.

I’ve removed the “Add to Cart” buttons from my shop because I won’t be sell anything for a little while. 1) stupid volcano in Iceland erupted last Thursday and the ashes blow all over the sky in Europe. So no planes are flying in or out meaning I won’t be able to ship anything internationally. 2) I’ve decided to change the designs a little. I’m going to be using sterling silver chains instead and different bails too. 3) Moving everything to the shopping cart area I set up for this. So check back soon.

I had a few things to do last night, all related to Essencious Designs. I had to order new pieces and decide how many of each I want to buy. I hate waiting for delivery but I don’t have the time to head to the shops to buy it. I ordered some new gift boxes few days ago and they still haven’t arrived! I seriously hate waiting for delivery, I’m not a patient person.

I set up a shopping cart script today (finally), so I’m working on getting the products listed in the shop Hopefully it’ll be much better than this manual shopping cart I set up. I also need to retake the photos with my friend’s SLR because I think the photos looks a bit crappy at the moment. Hopefully they’ll turn out nicer and maybe professional looking too.
