What’s your price?

I started looking into jewellery making a little while ago and got really interested in it. I bought some components to test it out. I won’t be able to keep buying pieces all the time due to the cost. So I was thinking of selling some of the pieces I make in the future to help fund for new pieces.

This snowflake necklace is my very first creation, I thought I’ll start of with something really simple because I’ve never done this before.. It’s made from a Swarovski crystal with sterling silver components (the chain is also silver but it came out a bit gold due to my horrible yellow lamp!). The snowflake is a 20mm Clear Swarovski AB crystal. The clear AB crystal has a little golden glow when worn on bare skin as you can see in the second image.

20mm on your ruler probably seems very small but when worn it is actually pretty big. I think it is just the right size for a cute yet simple necklace. Here’s a picture of me wearing it to give you in idea of the size.

Here’s the question for you guys:

  • How much would you pay for this snowflake necklace? Include in your total price the following: the necklace itself, the gift box packaging and also postage.

New layout – Simply Beautiful

After almost a year of the old layout, I have finally made a new layout. I tried to keep this layout simple yet elegant and beautiful. I’m using CSS3 for some parts of the site so this is best viewed using FireFox 3.5+

I know it looks a bit out of place in Internet Explorer but I’m too lazy to try and fix it. I will get round to fixing it sometime this week.

Let me know what your thoughts are and any suggestions?

New layout coming soon…

Spend two hours last night making a start on the new layout. Normally I would draw it out on Photoshop then code it, but this time I decided I not to. I draw a frame on paper and then just got down to coding it right away. I want this layout to be as simple as possible, so no big header images or loads of images.

I always find a problem with using three colours. I always end up using two colours (shades of those two colours) for everything! From background to link to images to anything! This time I’ve picked three colours, hopefully I’ll be able to use all three well enough.

I can’t wait to finish this layout and get it up and running. I’ve had this current one for almost a year now and getting really really bored of it.
