Computer went boom…for 30mins
The other night my computer suddenly went dead! I was happily playing Aion, then suddenly the screen went black. I thought my computer just over heated and turned itself off but the computer fans were still spinning. I had to forcefully turn the computer off. When I pressed the power button again, the fans and lights came on but it didn’t boot up. I panicked!! I don’t like it when my computer breaks down!

I immediately rang my techie boyfriend when the computer didn’t boot up. He told me to remove bits and do this and that. After 30mins (I was about to give up and wait for him to come fix it in a few days) it turned on! Everything booted up perfectly!
He said it might have been static build up. That means there was too much static and electricity in the computer so the computer powered off for safety. He said it’s nothing to worry about and usually computers can have static build up if it’s been running for too long (I turn my computer off once every few months so that’s probably why!).
I’m glad that’s all over and it’s Friday. Friday is my favourite day of the week.
Friday is the start of the weekend.
Friday is the day where I go to sleep super late.
Friday is the day I visit my boyfriend for the weekend.
Friday is the day where there’s two work free days ahead.
Friday is just awesome!

The computer can be one scary piece of technology lol.. I know for me, I panic if anything suddenly goes wrong with the computer (like spyware, virus, or any power problems with the computer). It gives me a semi-heartattack or something lol! I’m glad to hear your boyfriend was able to help you fix the problem. 30 minutes doesn’t sound bad considering how your computer is now back to its normal state. Friday, is indeed awesome. Everyone gets to relax for the weekend and reenergize until Monday starts again. Have a lovely weekend Friday with your boyfriend
Keep in touch <3

Oh wow I never heard of anything like that could happen. I turn my laptop off every day, I can’t imagine leaving it on for so long! Wouldn’t that be a waste of electricity too?
Friday used to be my favorite day of the week, but now because I’m out from 6.30 – 8.30, which is a good 14 hours, I’ve changed it to Sunday. When I finally get a break from my 12+ hour days. =(

I had the same thing happen to my desktop years ago! Except back then I had no idea what it was, so I just considered it to be dead beyond repair :/ I never knew that static could build up and cause computers to shut down…wonder if it’d happen in laptops as well, since I rarely turn mine off o__o

Yeah, computers are weird. It could be from overheating as well. Sometimes computers take a while to cool down before they can boot up again. Once I got liquid in my computer, for 3 days I couldn’t turn it on, and then suddenly it started working again on the 4th day. electronics can be odd like that…

Once my brother broke my SD card, put it in my computer, and my computer then started having spasms. By spasms, I mean that the computer screen moved weirdly whenever I moved my mouse. I didn’t know that it was the SD card’s fault, so I was deathly scared that my brother screwed up my laptop because he was using it before.
Then I figured out it was my SD card that was broken.
So much relief right there.
I heard that leaving your computer on and turning it off every few months is actually better than turning it off every night. Does that pertain to laptops?
I love Fridays as well– freedom to do whatever you want (as long as, if you’re still in school, you get your work done first).

Friday is the most awesome day of the week XD There should be more of them, ne?
Computer break downs are evil. Especially when you’re having fun with gaming D: I hope your computer will not break down again
Btw, I got the necklace yesterday! It’s super pretty !!! ^_^

Glad your computer didn’t die! I had no idea there was such a thing as static build-up. Interesting! Don’t computers always die at the worst times though? haha
