The end of the heat

I drove on the motorway for the first time over the weekend. I drove from my house to my boyfriend’s place which took roughly two hours. It was a pretty scary experience considering I’ve only been driving for a week. I’m still pretty rubbish but practise will make perfect.

There’s hasn’t been much rain or any bad weather during these last two weeks, making it the perfect condition for me to practice driving.

We don’t get very much sun in the UK or at least not for long periods anyways. Fortunately it has been pretty sunny for the last two weeks. It was also extremely hot for a whole week, so hot that it was difficult to sleep. Many homes don’t have air condition here since we only get intense unbearable heat for a few days each year.

I think the hot weather is over now as it’s mid August already. September is the month where the cold weather begins. Sadly for the UK residents we get short summer. However on the plus side it isn’t that cold in the winter and usually the icy cold days only last about a month or two.

I’m going to end this entry with a promotion. This week I’m going to promote the Forest Blossoms necklace. The original price is $22, it’s now on sale for $20.

This piece is inspired by the beautiful colours of the forest.

Love the forest blossoms. Yup heat is gone in Finland aswell. Though they did promise that we would have another heat wave at the end of August..but perhaps..well, I don’t know. I sort of like that it’s a bit more chilly :) I can actually SLEEP at night now.

it’s good to take your car out for a vacation, especially a new one to get the engine and wheels going (thats what I hear from my family haha).

I remember my first time driving on the motorway, it was a couple of years ago (probably nearing three) – pretty nerve raking to begin with but I started to enjoy it. :)

I live in the UK also, it’s gotten cooler today! I know what you mean about it being too hot to sleep – gets very humid.
