Ideal body figure

I’ve never really been happy with my body figure (though most girls aren’t). Like most girls I hope to be thinner, flat stomach and toned looking.

I am pretty slim but I do have a stomach (a pretty big one too) and pretty fat thighs. For years and years I’ve wanted a flat stomach and thinner thighs but never done anything about it. I tried dieting but I usually give up or they don’t really work for me.

After sometime I learnt from a friend who’s sort of a body builder that the only way to get a flat stomach is to exercise regularly. Off course eating healthy is also extremely important. He taught me that by toning up, I will appear thinner than someone of the same weight but isn’t toned. My mum regularly attends an aerobics class and her teacher told her the same thing.

I learnt that information a while ago but was way too lazy to attend the gym often. Recently I’ve decided to attend the gym regularly (at least 3 times a week). I also started doing more weights then usual. After 2 weeks I’ve already noticed a small difference. My weight is about the same but my legs do look thinner.

I also learnt that muscles will burn more calories therefore it is important to have a lot of muscles so you will burn fat faster. Doing weights (or using the tone machines at the gym) will help you to build muscles.

Hopefully I’ll be able to keep this up for more than a month and off course I hope to archive the body figure that I want.

I should also start measuring my body parts! I think that I look thinner but I haven’t measured anything so I don’t really know if it has really improved or my brain is just lying to me.

Same with me. I’ve always been normal size, but I do feel that my stomach and thighs are a bit larger than I’d want them to be. So I have been exersizing, and though my weight hasn’t changed, people say I do look thinner. My mom even mentioned that “if you get any thinner, I’d might start to worry, you’re perfect now!”. But, my BMI is still slightly above the “ideal”, which is 22.5, I think. And even though I do feel good about my body, I’d want my weight to be a little less.

Oh I know what you mean. I’m probably pretty decent but I do want to tone up.
I’m not good on stamina. I need to build that up.

This blog post reminds me of my self-image. I am terribly conscious of my own body image and to be frank, I hate the way I look. Like you, I wish to have flat stomach. I’ve been gaining weight in the last 4 years. I haven’t done any exercising because university has taken up most of my time, and going to the gym is just out of the question — they’re just too expensive.

Hopefully you will have better luck and more success than I do. ;)

I’m slim too but I also have a big stomach which makes me look like I’m four months pregnant. My arms and legs are slim but my torso is kinda fat. I wanna get rid of these fats on my stomach but I’m not allowed to attend gym or do some workout. I tried dieting too but I have a big appetite. I can’t think of other ways to get rid of these excess fats.
I hope you get to achieve your ideal body figure. Good luck. =D

I wish I could go to the gym regularly, too! Idk why but my mom wants me to just go jogging instead of going to the gym =/ I think she’s just saving money XD but jogging is good, too, I guess.

Congrats on your progress ((: I hate my weight too. I used to be okay with my body but I recently gained some weight due to the high amount of stress. And people going about my weight isn’t helping me at all. But i started to play tennis actively and hopefully, I’ll go back to the body shape I was before.

You have no idea how much I wish to be slimer. Everyone wants to be slim. My parents are actually obsessed with exercising and eating healthy. If they don’t see me or my sister eat healthy or drink water regularly they tell us off. My sister doesn’t have any problems with her figure since she’s really really skinny like a model, she doesn’t even have a stomach! XD it’s competly flat.

I wished I had her body, she doesn’t even try. She eats wayyyy more than me and she’s super skinny. I’ve been running in my treadmill every week (we have a mini-gym-type room in my house) and I’m trying to be slimer.

Good luck with you Hun! We’ll be slim and be toned looking.

Thanks for the read girly. And yeah, I am trying for flatter abs and thinner thighs, but dieting usually doesn’t do much for me. And diet pills makes me feel like crap. =/
