A taste of the future
My mum & younger sister has gone to the USA for 11 days, leaving my dad & I back here. In another words I have to do all the housework and cook as well. I haven’t done anything like for over a year now (I use to house share with some friends when I was at university). I can barely remember how to cook food properly.
My next few days is going to be unbarred with housework and chores. This will actually be a good experience for me. I’ll get to experience what it’s like to work full time and then coming home to cook etc. At the moment my mum does everything, so I just go to work, then come home to a prepared dinner. After dinner I have plenty of time for myself. However for the next few days I’m going to have to come home and cook dinner. Over the weekends I’ll need to do laundry and clean the house.
This will give me a taste of my future when I move away from my parents.
My friend Jenny has recently started making youtube videos. She’s doing health & beauty product reviews. If you’re into that kind of stuff please subscribe to her and support her. She’s a lovely & extremely sweet girl.

Am sure that you’ll be fine Krystal! haha Man I feel so worried because I’m going to cook independently for 4 months in France! I don’t know how I’ll be able to survive T_T
Haha hope you’re doing well! Mum and your sis must be having fun!

I felt like that too when I first moved out during university. It was pretty horrible for the first two weeks then after a while you just sort of get use to it. Then you sort of start cooking well. You can always get a cook book that has clear & basic instructions. That’s what I did after a while.

I hope your mom and sister are having a great time in USA. I can’t cook, so i can’t say anything about cooking. I SUCK at cooking.

Lord cooking and working at the same time is aggrivating, but I think its a trait that is within all of us. Like the moment we start becoming adults, we automatically enter into this brain wave of what we are going to have to do to make it. I hate it, but I do it. Some days are better than others, but it won’t be hard. Once you get into that routine, then it’ll be easier.
Really what I have learned to do is set up a schedule, like you’re basically doing yourself. What I’m going to do, and when I’m going to do it keeps me grounded. You’ll do fine though, and just when you get into the routine your mother will return and you’ll not want to give it up. Well you will, but it’ll be hard. Lol.
By the way, beautiful layout. I love the comment section most, just for the way it is set up. Lovely.

OH wow, tell your friend that I applaud her bravery. I can never do a video and post for the world to see. I guess I”m lacking at the confidence department.
I wanna go USA too ):

I hate cooking, cleaning etc. I’m just too tired at the end of the day! I need a chef or something haha. Have fun with your cooking anyway
I’ll check out Jenny’s videos now, she seems sweet

Good luck working on the chores. I never like doing housekeeping. The most I’d do would be the laundry, washing the dishes and sweeping the floor.
But as you said, doing the chores yourself would be a good practice before moving out. Cooking is definitely something that requires a lot of practice.

LOL. I do that all the time too! I’m always stuck in my room just in front of the computer doing God knows what. Sometimes, my mom gets really mad at me because she think I’m using the computer too much. Well, hate to agree with her but its true
Sometimes, even though I don’t have anything to do with the computer, I just turn them on and play solataire. HAHA. Until I find something to do with. Well, I’m mostly reading FanFiction anyways.
Yeah, I get what you mean. Sometimes, I just find myself waking up really early and feeling tired. When I want to sleep again, I can’t. So I’m back being in front of the computer!

I can’t even imagine moving away yet! I just can’t. I’m so dependent on my parents, it’s not funny. I am surprised and admire you that you think it’s going to be a good experience without your mum around. My mum does so much around the house here, and I help out sometimes cleaning… but if I were left to cook for myself, I’d be stuck.
Makes me realise my mum is really a good cook, haha!
My mum does the laundry as well – well, she tosses it in. I’m the one who takes it out and hangs it out to dry; I also do ironing regularly. I hope you learn a lot, especially in terms of cooking. ;D
Don’t be like me; when I’m home from university I make instant noodles for lunch all the time. D:

agh, whenever i have to help cook and clean and do all that stuff, i think about how hard it is being a working parent with children, haha. so yeah, it is a good experience! at least we’re aware of what we’re getting ourselves into should we choose that sort of life.
good luck; i know you’ll survive!
(PS: show us what you’re cooking?? yum)

It’s weird, I can cook + clean + do chores perfectly fine when I’m at my apartment at school, but once I’m home, I’m turn into a total housework idiot :/
And OMG, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR PLUGGING MY VIDEOS
