Inspired

Swarovski is my all time favourite jewellery brand (as well as Tiffany & Co). I simply adore those Swarosvki pieces because I love crystals. I know many girls prefer diamonds (hence the saying “diamond are a girl’s best friend”) but to me I prefer crystals. Diamonds generally only come in clear colour, but you can get really expensive colour diamonds (they’re generally only one shape). I prefer crystals because they can be any colour and any shape/size.

I was inspired into jewellery crafting back in Feburary 2010 when I made some purchases of hand crafted Swarovski jewellery. I loved them and was inspired to make my own Swarovski Crystal jewellery. After many tries and many mistakes I finally made some Swarovski necklaces. I needed to sell some pieces to fund for the money I spent on all the materials. I started selling them in April 2010. Selling is much more difficult then I expected. Many people have helped me a lot by advertising to their friends, families and on their blogs. I was so amazed at the support, didn’t think I’ll even get any.

Another thing that is really amazing is that I inspired someone to carry on jewellery crafting. That person is Georgina. She use to craft necklaces from guitar picks but then stopped after a while. After she saw my store, she was inspired to continue. I believe she will be opening a store to sell her guitar pick jewellery. I’m so excited about that and can’t wait for her store.

Ivy, one of my good blogger friend has finally come back to the blogging world. She has been away from it for a few months. I’m super glad that she’s back now :D Go check out her website everyone.

I love your jewelry! I think I might buy something. Your shop is really cute. What shopping cart system do you use? I have a shop as well. It’s http://www.peppermintpals.com

It’s nice to have a blogger my age around =]

I adore Tiffany jewelery, but unfortunately I won’t be able to afford one anytime soon :/ I’m a big fan of crystals as well (especially Swarovski crystals), not only because they come in so many different colors, but each color is supposed to bring you good luck in certain areas. Like, amethysts help you gain wisdom (I think? lol), rose quartz helps with your love life, and the yellow ones bring in the moolah! :D

for a little over a year. It’s hard to get people to buy but maybe we can come up with a network with each other. We can help promote each other.

I’m in the process of setting up this mega sale on my store to get rid of everything so I can start over fresh.

I love your jewelry that you are selling! :) I love the Night necklace. Thanks, again! ;) I’ve always wanted to start my own store and sell something, but I don’t have any talent to do so. Continue the good work on your store! :) Never give up!

I will be looking forward to Georgina’s store that sells guitar picks! I want a pink one and I hope she will have one in that color! ;)

Thanks for the plug, girl! I really appreciated it a lot! :)

Sounds like a lot of fun! I did the whole jewelry thing too, for a while. I wasn’t very good at it, and not very persistant either, but it was a lot of fun shopping for materials. I made a few bracelets, earrings and one of those chains for glasses, lol. I don’t think anything I made was good enough to sell, but it was definitely fun.

Aw, thanks for the plug! I’m swamped with assignments at the moment as it’s the last few weeks of uni for the sem but I hope to get the shop up and running. I’ll admit I’m losing motivation at the moment though hahaha! I’ll definitely have it up by August though, because that’s a time when I’m going back to uni and will have more opps to go to the post office. :)

I actually really like crystal as well. My mum likes crystalware like plates and things. She collects them! I know she only likes clear ones though. But crystals I definitely prefer to diamonds because of the colour range and the shapes, and they seem to look prettier. XD

I’m glad Ivy is back – I have got to drop by her site some time!

OH good luck in the driving test you’ll be taking soon! It is 120 hours which is a lot… they also have guidelines for night driving and other insane stuff. O-o; Oh well it’s not like I need to drive right now anyway. XD

Where did you get the tutorial for this layout again? I had it bookmarked and I can’t find it. There was something in it I wanted to make for my new site (was like… a texture or something).

Could you let me know? Thanks!
