Review: E45 Cream

Two dark, dry and flaky patches suddenly appeared on either corners of my mouth about two weeks ago. It started to itch after a while as well. I continued with my regular facial routine hopefully that it will fade over time but I was wrong! Last week, I purchased a tub of E45 cream for the dry areas around my mouth after talking to a chemist at my local pharmacy. She recommended the cream to me.
E45 is a special treatment cream for dry and sensitive skin. It can be purchased from most drug stores and pharmacy. It says that it heals flaky, itchy and dry skin. People with eczema will use this often to improve their skin.

Amazing, after 5 days those two patches completely healed! As well as using it on those two patches twice a day (day & night) I also used it on my cheeks that were becoming dry from the weather and nothing was really helping. Surprisingly my blemish faded in redness dramatically. The cream also hydrated my cheek area so they aren’t dry anymore.

From my own experience I would highly recommended this cream for anyone that have very dry skin or your skin (or areas of it) becomes very dry occasionally. If you don’t normally have dry skin (i.e. normal, oily, combination skin type), I would suggest that you only use this cream for the period when your skin is very dry and switch back for your normal cream after it has healed.

My blemish did fade dramatically (not as red as it was last week) but I can’t be sure that was due to the cream. The package doesn’t say that it helps with blemish therefore it could just be a coincidence that mine faded after using this cream. I have been following other procedures (e.g. drinking more water, sleeping more) for 4 weeks now so all that effort might have just suddenly decide to kick in at around the same time.

I’m extremely interested to find out what others thought about this product so if you have tried it before please share your experience.

That sounds like a good cream, my skin is picky lol. I can’t use anything that is too greasy, or it’ll make my skin sweat, it’s weird, so I don’t know how well that cream is with my skin. There is a cheek area that gets dry too, I guess I have different things going on with my skin. Yeah using it just for that certain area is a good idea. Thanks for the review :)

Nope, isn’t pricey at all. It’s about £4 for a small tub and £2 for the small tube one. So I think it’ll probably be about $3-6 in the USA if you’re the States.

Amazing we got the same name and spelt the same way :D Most people will spell it as Crystal. I see you have linked me. I’ll link you back :)

I’ve never seen this cream in drugstores where I live, though I will definitely check again. I don’t have dryness or flaking problems myself, but my boyfriend suffers from this like none other, so maybe I’ll get a tub for him if I can find it. Thanks for sharing!

Wow, that sounds like great face cream! I use Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. It works pretty great; I can tell the difference in my face when I forget to use it! Haha :) I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for this cream at the drugstore; I have a friend with eczema.

Haha I think my parents are the opposite; they know when I am at fault. But some parents are blind to their child’s faults. I think this child is really going to need some help now that he’ll be living with this. :(

It’s really insensitive as well. I know people joke around but this was taking it too far.

Gosh, I have that problem with the corners of my mouth quite often. They get dry and cracked and are not pleasant. I generally have dry skin but sometimes I am too lazy to put moisturiser on. My wrists and ankles and elbows get pretty dry.

I haven’t heard of this cream but it’s great when you are recommended something that works so well. I regularly need to apply moisturiser to my face because my face dries out quickly!

Thanks for stopping by my website and plugging your own in my plugboard! You sure have a lot of beauty tips… It’s too bad I’m almost allergic to everything. Most skin care products I can’t use. Including all types of lotion. Anyway, nice website. Peace~
